Dr. Matthew Young is a licensed psychologist in Connecticut, New York, and Florida. He earned his doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He provides therapy and counseling services for adults and adolescents, including individual and couples counseling.

Unique Approach

Dr. Young utilizes an integrative approach to your care. Integrative psychotherapy is an approach to counseling that involves utilizing and pulling from the broad spectrum of clinically salient approaches to mental health needs in order to best serve you. Included approaches and interventions include person-centered care, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, existential psychotherapy, and communication-based therapy. You can rest assured that the effective care with be tailored made with your goals in mind.

Therapy for You

Dr. Young prides himself in developing a well-rounded skill set to best serve his community and its individuals. While training for his doctoral degree, Dr. Young honed his therapy skills across a large range of unique people, each with their individual and personal needs. This included people seeking services in outpatient services, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and inpatient care. His level of expertise and familiarity with a wide range of the personal presentations helps him to be prepared for the unique challenges found in the community.

Personalized Care

Dr. Young prides himself in providing a large range of options in regards to scheduling. Working or going to school full time should not have to be a barrier to your mental health care: Dr. Young offers flexible hours, including later evening appointment times to help accommodate your schedule. For residents of Connecticut, New York, and Florida, Dr. Young also offers telehealth (virtual) services to help provide even further accommodations for those limited by travel.
